Anglolang’s Social Programme

While studying at Anglolang there are plenty of opportunities to have fun, make new friends, improve your English and discover the UK. Here are just a few of our regular year-round social events:

  • cinema evenings at Anglolang’s cinema (free)
  • theatre evenings at Stephen Joseph Theatre (from £15)
  • pub evenings with live music (usually free entry, costs depend on what you choose to drink)
  • restaurant evenings (from £10, actual cost depends on the restaurant and food chosen)
  • Anglolang karaoke parties (free)
  • guided tours of Scarborough (free)

During the Summer Programme there are a choice of afternoon activities (if you have not booked afternoon lessons) and a guided study visit to a place of local interest every Wednesday. Guided excursions are also offered at the weekend during the Summer months. These excursions are optional and usually cost between £20 – £35 (depending on the destination).

During the non-Summer months, guided weekend excursions are sometimes offered (depending on demand). Again, these excursions are optional and usually cost between £20 – £35 (depending on the destination).

We are also happy to help you to organise your own trips at the weekend. You should ask at reception for advice on UK destinations and travel.
